Notarized copies, relationship support letters from family, etc

thanks for the answer. If that's the case that makes things a bit easier! I was not looking forward to going and getting all these things notarized/certified. Also, maybe a stupid question but would the letters need to be hand written to be more genuine or can they type it and that's fine?

Notarized copies, relationship support letters from family, etc

Hi! I will be applying Outland from US. I could have swore I read on the guide that marriage certificate, birth certificates, etc need to have NOTARIZED copies, not just a regular photocopy. Is this the case or did I misinterpret the guide? Also, I will be having some of my family, my husbands...

Anyone want to join a thread for people applying in the near future?

You are very welcome! I just thought us who are still preparing deserved a thread of our own too!! So we don't have to constantly ask others how they're filling out THEIR apps and such. After I file mine I def plan on coming on here as well to tell newbies what I did with my app. :) I know...

Anyone want to join a thread for people applying in the near future?

Why don't you apply for Outland then? Though a family member getting sick is always possible, it doesn't happen to everyone so you shouldn't worry about things that might not even happen.

Still in the compiling stages as well! We are slow pokes with the filling out stuff :P I'm so glad everyone is in need of a thread like this! I am also interested to hear people in the same boat say how they're gathering up and putting together the relationship evidence.

All are welcome of course. I'm sure you can join the March 2014 thread if you want to! Just sucks people like me who are still in the gathering process don't have a specific thread to go to and have to start a new topic for every songle question we have!

Hello! Finally starting PR process! Have a few questions.

Ok, well my situation now is I've been visiting this visit since December 8th. They did stamp my passport but didn't write a date so, meaning I have 6 months. So can I do the extended stay thing on the CIC website??? I don't have a literal VISA. Just a stamped passport. I guess we'll see how...

Hello! Finally starting PR process! Have a few questions.

Yeah I have read multiple times not to make small talk and to just answer with short definitive answers. I was once asked while leaving Canada (so by a US officer?) "And you only have one suitcase for 6 months?" I just said "Yep." and I wasn't questioned any further. I also find if I try to talk...

US to Canada, I'm new here and could really use some advice!

You are correct. Outland would probably be best if he plans on traveling fairly often. Because they could deny him entry and if you did inland they would trash his file. Him still working in the US is actually ideal. Because he will then show ties to the US. Meaning he still has business in the...

That's what I plan on doing as well. To show our ongoing contact. And then after I started visiting, showing plane tickets and photos since we've been together.
