    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2015

That is not SA or AIP. Just a file update. Generally, SA/AIP is next, but could come soon or not for months. No way to know.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2015

sinimat - Yes as you noted, that letter is AIP. That paragraph you quoted are instructions to Visa Officers from what I remember. But VO's use their discretion and often don't recall their poilicy handbook word for word. So basically, there is no sure thing at all that they would give a visa...

Can one Travel on COPR outside Canada while waiting for the PR card?

That is partially incorrect. Canuck in Uk is correct. As long as you arrive at a border, CBSA MUST let a PR into Canada (after screening). Even if they don't have their PR card, CBSA can determine a PR by using their passport and CoPR. The issue is this....a plane, bus or boat/cruise ship...

    REMOVAL ORDER ON OVER STAY

Yeah it's a bit confusing. Did OP get "caught" because they basically intercepted the criminal check mailing? So they saw this mail ran the name it was addressed to and bingo? Kept it, called him for an interview then seized his passport and handed him the mail they intercepted for him to give...

US Police Clearance: FBI Processing Times

Any updates on this? We're at the 6 week mark approx.

Inbound -I want to marry my girlfriend in Canada

That sounds about right. To stay during an outland app, she would have to apply for visa extensions (and have them granted)when necessary. That might not be an issue if the processing goes quickly anyways. If you have a strong app then the interview is not very likely.

Out of status in Canada, getting married here..HELP

Dan12 - from what I've read on the forums, it basically means that CBSA has requested CIC to expedite your application and for them to make a decision on whether to give you AIP or not. If CIC does that within the 60 days (they don't always do so) and gives you AIP, then the removal order will...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Wes2016 - just to summarize for you... -DM doesn't mean you are PR, so travelling can be risky -you need to get your landing invitation and appointment and go land to become officially a PR. -At that landing they will then submit info for your PR card. At the landing you will get a CoPR...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2015

I highly doubt that. As my username hints at, we are a mixed race couple. There are many mixed race couples on here. They clearly want some further info on your relationship though. Could be not enough evidence, short courtship, different religions (apparently can cause further inquiry), very...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2015

August 2015 app here. We also got second AOR today June 10, 2016. Basically, the initial AOR is sent to the sponsor, the second AOR is sent to the primary applicant. Honestly, I don't think it means much because the spreadsheet indicates that other August 2015 apps got their 2nd AOR 2-3...

I'm thinking that the 5 year thing relates to criminality OTHER than what was listed in bold above. Don;t know for sure though.

Inbound -I want to marry my girlfriend in Canada

Applying outland may be a faster overall route to PR as mentioned. You can live in Canada during an outland application, but would have to keep a valid visitor status. So she would have to try to extend her visitor status which may or may not succeed If you apply inland, and submit the app...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2015

As mentioned, be sure to use a dr that does e-Medical. The Dr's office will electronically send it to CIC. When leaving the Dr's office they will give you a printout with the e-Medical logo, your name and info and photo. It confirms that you did the upfront medical (if CIC has not requested a...

Inbound -I want to marry my girlfriend in Canada

Sure you can marry her in Canada. If you apply "inland", then include an OWP (open work permit) application at the same time with the PR application. The OWP will be processed in 4-5 months and then she can work. Another option is an "outland" application (she can still be in Canada, as long as...

Police Clearance if I have lived in Canada for last 10 years

I'd play it safe and forget the past 10 years bit, just go with if over 18 for at least 6 months. Classic CIC inconsistent information can be seen in these two examples: PCC needed if 6 months, over 18, in past 10 yrs...
