If Canada Post goes on strike/locked out, not sure what will happen with those PR card times.

Missing Application in CIC office !!!! what to do ?

angel - When you said CIC requested documents and you said you didn't submit them because they were already included... did you at least respond to tell them that the requested documents are already included in the application? If you simply did not respond to the request, that would be very...

B4 Form Guide for entering Canada

For someone that applied and landed inland, what if they don't know exactly everything they want to bring back to Canada after going home to visit? I understand CBSA might prefer them to go to an office and get a "goods to follow" form stamped, then travel to home country, bring the goods back...

US Police Clearance: FBI Processing Times

Looks like we won't be needing the FBI clearance after all! It probably will arrive in 3 more weeks or so. We got our landing appointment letter a week ago and land next week. Wooo! Note, we submitted for an FBI cert. as a 'just in case' scenario, because the USA visit was just over 10 years...

    Border Crossing Help! common law

I'd be careful with how many "belongings" you are bringing. If you bring tons of clothes it certainly looks like you are planning to stay and not just visit.

    PR cards

The person they are getting married to is already a Canadian citizen. So sponsoring her isn't an issue. That said, the change in marital status still has to be declared and listed in the application before landing as a PR I believe.

'Landing' at Point Roberts/Boundary Bay (Vancouver)

You can probably get it done there, but they probably won't be too happy about it. It is a very small crossing with minimal staff.

Ashi - congrats! Good to see another August 2015 applicant get their landing letter. I see your timeline info isn't on the spreadsheet. Would you mind posting your timeline to be added so people can see progress?

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

If your TRV is still valid and has entries remaining/allowed, then that TRV w/passport should be enough for the airline to allow you to board. What many people don't understand is that once you GET to a Canadian border, the CBSA can use your passport and CoPR (confirmation of PR) document to...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2015

If you have not submitted your police check and medical, do not wait for them to ask. Do it now! We also did not submit PCC and Med with the app. Without any request we sent them later, then 3 weeks after they got them we got the landing interview letter. I don't know if it was a coincidence...

PR card sent by canada post?

Ugh....the 59 days that CIC says is the time for a first PR card may end up being longer I'm thinking because of the strike. Hope it gets sorted ASAP.

How to go to US and reenter Canada without PR card yet

You can enter back to Canada by private car with just your Passport and the CoPR document. If you want to enter Canada without the PR Card by plane, train, bus, etc...then there are two methods. First method is: if you are from a visa exempt country (like USA for example where its citizens...

    travel without PR card

Doesn't matter what your company says, what Rob_TO says is correct. If you are only going there for 3 days, that will not be enough time to apply and get a PR Travel Document. Therefore you are down to two choices...either find a way to drive back to Canada, or wait for your PR card.

2015 Notice of Assessment: Not Intially Available

I agree with canuck...very small chance they will request it, but I did see one note on the inland spreadsheet where they did request an updated option C from the sponsor. That's the only time I've ever seen that though. Actually, we basically did the same thing you did. We submitted in Aug...

Can I have my Panal Physician Examination done before CIC request it?

As I mentioned in my post you can scan it and send it through CSE (Case Specific Enquiry). Quicker, easier, and cheaper than mailing/couriering it. We sent our PCC and E-Medical form (without any request) and CIC received them June 1, 2016. Three weeks later we got our landing interview...

To sponsor a HIV+ family member to Canada

Yes he MUST be included in his husbands PR app for sure (either as accompanying or non-accompanying) or he can never be sponsored by him ever. I think I've read on here that HIV+ people nowadays generally ARE deemed admissible, but it may depend on the amount and cost of medications required...
