Interesting.. I didn't know about limitations on staying outside canada if you have sponsored someone. Do you know how long he can stay in either cases?

can't they see which kind of visa you had for UK on your passport? what kind of documents are they asking you to answer their questions?

It's a shame that ppl want to migrate to the country that they hate. Canada is far more better place to live than any other country in the world and that's the only reason why the get thousands of immigration applications. If you think that government sucks in this country, why don't you...

Did you try contacting your MP? your 6 months is up and you have a right to get a proper answer from ND now........ I am not sure why would they ask for PP and hold it for such a long time? Good luck and keep us update :)

you could try loging into ecas using ur fee receipt number and if u r lucky....u would see the status update..Good luck!

@ayad, just stay calm and call them again early next week.......no need to panic...you have done your part by sending ur file again.......hopefully u will hear good news soon.... @easykiwi, i guess your doesn't say approve on ecas either.....their system works mysterious way so i will give...

lol. i agree.. ECAS is notorious in doing these kinda stuff but it just makes our life miserable....i wish there a standard practice that they would follow all the time to make things more reliable and less painful.. @Suki.. ya i heard the same but there is noway my file is received at VO yet...

This is weird...I already got approval for 1st stage on Nov 8t via email and Ecas still says that we received your application on 30th August 2011. :'( it also says medical results have been received.... Does anyone know what's going on? ???

This is something new. My VO is New Delhi and I didn't write anything on any photos. Can anyone from ND please conform if we needed to write anything? As per guide, I didn't find anything specific :( I am confused..

Ayad, If they told u to send it to someone's attention and address different that usual PObox where we send file originally, then it's very likely that you wouldn't have to wait for another 68 days....... BTW CIC-M updates: 68 days (working on applications received on August 31, 2011)

I think your best bet is to call them and explain your situation. As senior members have suggested, you might get a right answer depending on the call center person. So call them and fight for your rights.....you have already waited once and they should take your case rightaway....

If online payment doesn't work, you can always that that fee form to bank and pay there....Good old ways.. :)
