3 Aug 2020 Outland AORs as late as Aug 17th. Based on this I think we can start seeing Sept AORs this month!

Been clicking refresh too much on the spreadsheet and forums. Thought I'd share that 3 people from July 2020 Outland have received their AOR1 and someone from Aug 5 2020 Outland called and received a temp file number. It's getting closer!

    OCTOBER 2020 OUTLAND Spousal Sponsorship

Processing time even before Covid was 12 months. I'm not going to read anything into it until we get closer to the 1 year mark for those applicants. Regardless I like what they are doing now. For Inland they have temp file numbers and for Outland they are in June for AOR. Personally it will...

Ugh! I'm sorry to hear that. What if you re-submit a complete package with the original payment receipt and a cover letter explaining the situation. Worse case they toss out your second application and best case you only lost a few weeks? Would CIC get upset if you did that?

Just saw in the March 2020 Outland thread that a May 12th Outland applicant received their AOR1! Things are moving!

If you call let this group know either way if you receive a temp number or not. I know we have a long wait but it would be great to have the number as confirmation they have it (beyond the FedEx receipt confirmation). I'm happy to see progress on the Google Sheets. April 17 Outland people are...

You can apply but you have to show intent that you're only visiting and intend to leave. You'll also have to deal with the Covid quarantine protocols as well.

Other threads showing mid-April applicants are getting AOR1 so at least things are moving again. Hopefully they continue to speed up. Inland applicants are nearly up to date on a temp file number so I'm ever hopeful.

My guess based on the fact that, according to the Google spreadsheet linked in the first post, AOR is being sent out for March applicants now. And, the Canadian government is accelerating outland applications that the wait is under 6 months to receive your AOR. No idea how much sooner until...

    ***September 2020 INLAND Spousal PR***

If it starts with an "X" it's a temp number. If it doesn't it's your actual one you can use to link.

Yes, you can. But, when you travel you need to show intent to leave (like a return airline tix etc). Keep in mind you'll also need to be able to prove the relationship to enter Canada while the boarder is closed to non-essential travel.

I don't know. But the question has been asked before. Perhaps you can call CIC to find out and report back for others as well.

I suggest you call them and ask to be 100% sure and not worry that the file will be returned - please post the answer for the benefit of others.

I googled the 1-800 number. Just be 100% sure the address is correct.

ECAS=Electronic Case Application Status You can check the ECAS in GCKey once you've linked your account to your case number. You'll get your case number when you receive your AOR1. Note the temp number that is issued if you call them (or e-mailed for the inland applicants) only confirms...

I'm not an expert but I believe your spouse has to have proof they intend to return to the US such as a return plane ticket etc. Be sure they also have the necessary paperwork to prove the relationship from a Covid entry policy perspective.
