Still no PPR e-mail for me from the Mississauga VO. We have been waiting about 2.5 weeks now. Seems like they might be slower in sending it out or doing some type of different process.

    Need Help / Opinion

Thanks for the info! I thought I remembered reading that something such as the death of a close family member they are normally more lenient. But I guess that it still carries a big risk. Good to know.

    Need Help / Opinion

Normally with Inland you aren't allowed to leave the country while the application is processing. Although for emergencies exceptions can be made. The normal processing time for Outland is 12 months although often times it can be less than the 12 months.

***APRIL 2017***SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP OUTSIDE OF CANADA

Same situation with my wife. We are still waiting for PPR. How ever she is from a visa exempt country I was reading that she may not get a PPR request and just get the COPR... Not sure if this is true or not though.

    Application Form

You can write a letter to them explaining your plans for the future and what you will do. That is what I did, but they send another request after about 2 months of submitting my application requesting more proof that you intend to return. This is where they requested the stuff I noted in my...

In my case it was about a month after submitting the background check and it came after AOR2. But it would depend on your VO as per above.

***APRIL 2017***SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP OUTSIDE OF CANADA

Both of those things depends on your individual application and the VO you are assigned to. You can check the Jan-April spreadsheets and see what others at your VO have had for timelines but your individual application may be different. Best thing you can do is just wait it out, keep checking...

You will wait to get a decision made or if the agent processing your application requires it additional document requests.

    Medical not yet requested??

In our case and most other cases I believe the background check and Scedule A are requested first. Once they are receieved and reviewed then the medical request is sent. This is how it was for our application so I am assuming yours will be the same. Our VO was mississauga and Ottawa.

I was in the same situation, I included a letter from my parents stating that we were going to stay with them as well as letters from friends and family stating that they knew about our plans to return to Canada and start a family. Spousal Sponsorship Need Help ASAP

You should listen to Rob and return to Canada as soon as you can! It isn't that your husbands chances to be accepted increase as that all depends on the visa officer and his review of your application. But as it is now the application would have grounds for immediate refusal based on you being...

At least right away, but maybe you will be one of the lucky ones. :) Like I said the biggest thing they will be looking for is proof that you intent to return to Canada, where are you going to...
