    Spouse’s Visa

It took my wife only 5 business days from Manila VO. But it may be longer at yours. I would expect 2-3 weeks but don't be surprised if it is shorter or longer.

    Translated but not notarized....

My wife just got back her COPR. We also applied from Korea. We didn't include a letter from her parents but we included letters from my family and friends which we did not get notarized. So you may be okay not notarizing them. We did need to send more proof we were returning to Canada though...

Family Class Sponsorship and Health Insurance

Just some additional advice. I know that in Canada medical insurance for out of country provided by employers/insurance companies will only cover you for a limited amount of time 30/90 days. So make sure to read your policy documents before coming to make sure. You can also buy travel insurance...

Common law PR Application Check List - Civil Status Documents

You will need to provide some proof that you have been living together continuously for 12 months. It doesn't have to be exactly those documents but the burden of proof is on you to prove to CIC you are in a genuine common law relationship.

***APRIL 2017***SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP OUTSIDE OF CANADA

We went through VFS global outside of Canada. My PPR came directly from Mississauga. It might be different for your visa office. It took 4 business days here in Korea from the time we sent the Passport photo copy to the time we got it back.

***APRIL 2017***SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP OUTSIDE OF CANADA

COPR received today. We only sent it off last Wednesday so it was a very quick turn around. We just have a few things to clear up here in korea but we should be heading back to Canada very soon!

    Medical, when?

It was requested in my case after AOR 2 when the file got transferred to the Visa office. I would say that you are probably looking at anywhere from 3-5 months give or take from the time you mail your application on average. Once you receive the medical request you will have 30 days to complete...

    Medical, when?

It says right in the application checklist and guide to wait until you get the medical request. Do not do your medical upfront. The panel physicians now should not be doing an upfront medical anyway. When my wife did hers they required the medical request from CIC in order to even make an...

You will first see DM under the applicant before the PPR e-mail so you will have to wait for that first. I hope it's soon for you!

DM end of September 2017, Waiting for PPR!!!!!

A lot of the offices who were faster seemed to have slowed down some with the new way they are doing things. I had to wait 2 months for PPR from Ottawa/Mississauge offices so NDVO may be taking a little longer as well. Just be patient and before you know it you will be in Canada.

***APRIL 2017***SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP OUTSIDE OF CANADA

Your application has processed pretty quickly. I think you are worrying over nothing. There were many people who waited more than 2 months including me to get the medical request. Don't worry so much they are working on your application as you can see they already requested your police cert and...

    Decsion made

No we got the PPR now. We were processed at Ottawa and Mississauga Visa offices. Yours might be quicker but my point was don't worry if it is taking longer than 1 week to get PPR after Decision Made.

    Decsion made

That all depends on the visa office. There are many of us who have gotten decision made and the passport request has take almost two months to receive. It's not a guarantee they will get the PPR email in a week.

**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

Even though you are the sponsor you don't have access to your spouse's confidential information without their consent which is why you have to fill out an authorized representative form. What we did is that we called CIC together and my wife gave authorization for them to talk to me for the...

**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

This came in a pdf as well. I paid all fees upfront. This email came right from Mississauga as well not from Ottawa.
