Medical not yet requested??

Hey,
I submitted my spousal application on June 08/2017 to sponsor my husband. We recieved a text and email to elt us know the appication has started being processed. On july 28, my husband was asked for his background check form. We sent it 2 days later. Still have not revieced a request to get medical done. Are medicals not requested before background checks?

In our case and most other cases I believe the background check and Scedule A are requested first. Once they are receieved and reviewed then the medical request is sent. This is how it was for our application so I am assuming yours will be the same. Our VO was mississauga and Ottawa.

Our VO is New Delhi and it asked for medical request prior to sending it to New Delhi. So i guess it just depends on your VO

How long after you submitted you background check did you get an email for the medical?

In my case it was about a month after submitting the background check and it came after AOR2. But it would depend on your VO as per above.

we got med request prior to sending our schedule A and PCC. But every case might be different. They might want yours after! Hopefully nothing to worry about!
