I had our consultant's address on my COPR and I didn't see it as a mistake. At the time of landing I was asked about that address and I said that it's our consultant's office and that I'd like them to send my PR card to that address. But if I wanted to change it, there would be no problem...

I got my PR 2 months ago. If I find a job and lose it, or if we then decide to have a baby, will I be entitled to Employment Insurance/maternity leave? Or will I have to rely solely on my husband's money as he is my sponsor?

I came as a visitor. They let me in after interrogating me for about an hour (or maybe it was 2 hours?). I'm not sure if it's easier or harder if you're in the middle of your PR process.

They gave me a really hard time when I came to Canada for the first time - and I am Polish.

This thread was started in 2010, so can anyone tell me please if the situation has changed since then? I'm about to start looking for a job in Vancouver/Burnaby/New Westminster/Surrey/Langley and I'm really worried that finding it might not be easy.

I didn't have a b4 form, just 2 lists typed on my computer (and no goods to follow). The customs officer asked if I had any goods to follow so I said no. He didn't ask about the accompanying goods and didn't want to see the list. The immigration officer didn't even mention any list.

Me and my husband got married after knowing each other for only 6 months. We didn't send much proof either - just the wedding and other photos. I'm a PR now :)

I sent them the scans of all pages of my passport via email (I went to Staples and they did all the scanning for me and they put everything in one .pdf file). It was my PPR and I got my COPR a couple of days later. I'm Polish so they didn't want me to send my passport.

As for jewellery, I was wearing my engagement and wedding rings and nobody asked for any photos (I didn't have any anyway). And nobody even looked at my lists of items. They only asked if I had any goods to follow and I said no (my items to follow list was empty). I didn't have any other forms...

I had 1:40 (Calgary Airport) and managed to reach my plane 10 mins before the takeoff. 2:50 should be enough :) (Halifax Airport is probably smaller which is good)
