I just got a test invite LOL.

One forum user from December got the invite and took the test already, but because there are so few November/December applicants from Surrey on this forum, it’s really difficult to tell.

It seems they have put on hold sending test invites and are now focusing on oath ceremonies. I’m from January and still waiting.

Something must have changed then, because when I went there last year, I spent at the embassy only about 10-15 minutes before I was handed my COPR. Maybe I was lucky, because there was no line-up.

Before you are let in you have to go through security.

But was it to pick up your COPR? It might be different depending on what you need from them. When I went to pick up my COPR I didn't need to speak to anyone else apart from the receptionist who was in charge of COPRs. But as I said, it was about a year ago, so the procedure might have changed.

True. Vancouver, on the other hand, is better when it comes to outdoor activities (hiking, skiing, kayaking, etc.).

They're both expensive cities, but Toronto is cheaper. Vancouver may look good on postards, but personally I think it's overrated (lots of ugly buildings, a lot of homeless people on the streets, etc.). House prices are ridiculously high. And it's very difficult to find a good job here...

Saint John is my favourite city in New Brunswick. I've been there as a tourist and I loved it :) But Moncton and Fredericton were quite nice as well. The only city in NB that I didn't like was Edmundston. There was so much smog in the air that I didn't even want to leave the car. I believe it's...
