    For most of us after medical result. Background and Security check started and once its done and passed we will get pre arrival letter then passport request for visa stamp.

    I understand, all of us going through very difficult time. Its just waiting game and we have to patiently wait for it. Colombo office takes forever to process applications even to review documents we submitted.

    Yes they asked us to provide an explanation letter and we submitted through GCkey since then its showing same message with the date. Its been a month now so we emailed the embassy, they said it will not change till one of their officers review it.

    I see many got pre arrival letter within 3 months even December applicants. What I think applicants who have travel history take time to complete their background and security check since embassy will do the check in every country that applicant visited. Maybe I am wrong. I don't know.

    There is no any restrictions for immediate family member of Canadians except you will have to quarantine for 14 days once you land to Canada. Whats your timeline if you don't mind?

    Yes. They asked us additional documents very next day after they sending Meds request letter to my wife. I never heard from anyone that they were asked additional documents after Pre arrival letter. As I know all got COPR or passport request letter after pre arrival letter. Your case is different.
