I've read that if they see a huge amount of money at once in your account, it looks suspicious to them so maybe add explanation letter about why there's such a huge amount deposited at once.

Thanks! The processing times are definitely improving. I only submitted the application 9 months ago but there are a a few additional things they didn't ask for which I included with updates I submitted so that may have made the processing faster. Good luck for your application as well.

I sent a CV and applicable links with application. When they followed up via my online profile, I sent them a full business plan, which also included a start up budget.

Ditto. I didn't send all of that. I just provided a simple one page narrative. When they followed up via my GC key profile is when I scanned and uploaded everything. It would have been impossible to send such a large amount of info via paper application.

Q1 - I provided a narrative and links to portfolio. As it was a paper application, I wasn't about to print out over 100 pages of my portfolio. Q2 - You can if you want to. I just paid the application fee and paid the other fee when it was requested a few weeks ago.

Medicals passed. Additional POF information submitted. Passport request and invitation to pre-arrival services received same day.

I tried to do that initially but the system kept referring me to the self employed program as a more suitable option but if you're currently on employee based work at the time of application, it should be fine to go through.

That's not what the form I filled said. Schedule 6A said to include a narrative document bearing my signature which outlines source of employment income, business income, investment income and inheritance. It also said not to provide supporting documents with the narrative and if necessary...

Thanks. I didn't submit any proof. The manual I used from cic website said there's no need to submit proof of funds with application. I just filled in the schedule 11A, I think, with details of bank accounts, investment, stocks, bonds, credit card, etc. I also submitted a 1 page summary...

Thanks. I'm very excited though trying to pretend I'm not :p. They requested proof of funds, passoport copy, height and eye color and receipt for RPRF payment.

Update - received notification to go for medical test, submit a bunch of information and pay RPRF before end of October. Timeline so far:- Sent in application - Feb 2018 AOR - April 2018 Medical request and additional information - Sept 2018. Looks like processing times are improving. :)

I guess the two-year timeline on their website is pretty accurate then. Best of luck and do update us when you go in for medical and eventually get your PR :).

I received AOR in Apr or May I think (I mentioned upthread) and linked the application online but nothing since then. I don't expect to hear back till end of year really. I applied myself. The forms are straightforward and there are links to step by step instructions on filling the forms...

Have no idea what any of that means. This thread is for immigration under self employed scheme.

I included only what they asked for as per the checklist and application forms, and nothing else. I'm not trying to piss them off. If they want additional documentation, they can easily ask for it on the online portal. Educational assessment isn't required for SE but it doesn't hurt to get it...
