I'm not sure how this works as you must have Quebec work permit to work for Montreal tax filing establishment. Check with your HR how you will be filing taxes this year and based on which work permit you have been offered work for a Montreal based company.

IMO during this crazy times and remote working Job doesn't matter but where you file your taxes matter and your physical address. Not sure how you have been filing taxes past 2 years while working for montreal employer. If it was ontario then EE should be your choice.

Why is that from Q2 onwards it could take 24 months? Because number of applications multiply since first quarter 2020? I thought number of CDQs issued in 2020 were under control and i think 2020 applications will be less complicated to process.

I do not like to downplay MIFI efforts. Though i do not support the quota system or cancelling 18000 applications but i think the reduction is CSQs issued since the cancellation actually would've helped us big time with processing times if only there was no VIRUS.

Processing time should be similar in all provinces including Quebec which is 6 months or less. I believe It is just the quota system/incomplete files/complicated applications that delay the whole process. Which is why i think the reduction in CSQs last year and 2021 quota increase will speed up...

Congrats! Cannot wait for June/July 2019 applicants to recieve COPRs. Most of us should get AOR updates after that and can postively guess end of the tunnel dates.

Some cases are so complicated. Australia and USA dual citizenship but have to move to quebec for love.

Good for them but they must be applicants who applied before July 2019.

My advice would be to search for hapiness in canada with or without PR and meanwhile the processing will complete eventually.
