2015 JANUARY - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICATION

You received sponsorship approval (you can "support" your spouses PR application. You most likely received AOR earlier however it did not get to you for one reason or another (check your email spam). That is good news for you. You are onto the stage 2 wait (check the individual visa office...

Options to stay in the country after IEC expires/still waiting for PR/OWP

IEC does not benefit from implied status as the permit is not extendable. The quote which you included only gives examples of LMIA excempt programs. The international mobility specifically refers to programs which allow inter-company transfers, business persons and NAFTA exempted occupations...

    Seeking lawyer's help in Vancouver

Just looking at your last few posts like the previous poster. Your husband was already approved as a sponsor. You shouldn't worry too much about a lawyer as one the income threshold has already been met. When you come to visit, I don't think you should have too big of a problem. Don't...

Sponsor my spouse who already was a permanent resident before, different?

When did you become a citizen, I think any time spent with a citizen, even outside the country counts for your RO.

    Inland Work Permit Before AIP

Also check your province, if she was not elligable she may now be elligable for health coverage. I know both Ontario and Manitoba cover those on work permits.

PR sponsor of spouse needing to be in the country while spouse is sponsored?

Governmental Agencies are not yet permitted to share information yet. CRA, for example, cannot give any information to CIC. CBSA can share for enforcement/immigration purposes only, but other governmental agencies are not permitted to share. I even dug up a source for you. Source...

PR sponsor of spouse needing to be in the country while spouse is sponsored?

CBSA would also need to record your last entrance into another country in your entrance record. I don't see them going that far however. As I said, Canada has no exit control and very little entrance documentation for incoming PR's. There is very little reason you would be "found out" if you...

PR sponsor of spouse needing to be in the country while spouse is sponsored?

I don't know about them having access to flight manifests. I have a feeling that would fall under something they might need a warrant to actually get the full information for. However I did not say CIC has no way of knowing, I said Canada has no exit controls. Also, CIC would not check the...

    FEBRUARY 2015 OUTLAND

I don't believe you started over, especially if you got a file number. I can't see them requiring a new form from those who had it received before CIC changed it. At least they should not require it. Only time will tell.

    FEBRUARY 2015 OUTLAND

Apart from freaking out, not much, the application was already sent. I am waiting to see if they will request we send a new one or not. I hope they don't, but you never know.

PR sponsor of spouse needing to be in the country while spouse is sponsored?

No, he is not, Canada does not yet have exit controls, there is legislation in the pipe for exit controls however they do not yet exist. You are not obligated to check in with CBSA (The ones who would perform the exit check) does not currently check you on your way out, there is no tracking...

PR sponsor of spouse needing to be in the country while spouse is sponsored?

Rob_TO, Canada has no exit control, as of yet, so they can't really determine when you leave, unless you fly through the US (which has a information sharing agreement coming into effect I believe). But, I agree, I wouldn't stay gone any more then three weeks, because in that time you could...

    FEBRUARY 2015 OUTLAND

The new form was uploaded on the 25th I believe (don't worry, I sent it, checked here a week later and was like "crap, new form", but after some digging found it was uploaded on the 25th). They might make you send a new one, but I am not sure (Even though it wasn't changed before you submitted...

How did you send your application and how much did it cost to send it?

Sent my wife's with Purolator. No issues and it was delivered on the Tuesday(sent on Friday, Monday was a holiday). I probably could have done Sat, but I didn't know CPC worked on Sat (until recently). As an aside, they may work but not sure if their receiving is open sat(can anyone confirm?)

    MARCH 2015 OUTLAND APPLICATIONS

MP is your member of parliament who serves your electoral district. They are government officials who citizens elect and are paid with taxpayer dollars. (They are paid for their service, but through you paying taxes only, no fees are charged for something like this)

    Similar Situation

I think it may help that you haven't (at least on the face of it) overstayed and in fact from what you describe you have been very respectful of the rules. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Since you have decision made on your application and haven't seen anything for 65 days, I would definitely call the call centre.
