I started paperwork for my husband to come from Jamaica in December.... has anyone else started in December for the same process?

So far this is where we are:

Papers sent: Dec 17th 2014
Papers received: Dec 18th 2014
Sponsorship approved: Mar 7th 2015

Medicals and background check were sent last week. They didnt ask for them yet, we just sent them in. Does anyone have any advice or knowledge on how long this takes? I know on the website it says 25 months but does it really take that long? I saw on another thread that the average for people doing it around my same time is about 8/9 months. Im really hoping its that quick!

Im not spamming. Im asking a question on the length of time a sponsorship takes on a family sponsorship started in December. Why do I have to specifically enter it into the Kingston section? People from Canada can answer this question too, and they dont have to specifically be from Kingston. If they are using the same processing office as I am (Mississauga in Canada) then they can answer too. Thanks for your concern tho.

Are you expecting approval before summer, good luck..... that aint gonna happen, depending on your visa office its probably a good 4-8 months after SA before you hear anything from the visa office.

Im not EXPECTING anything to be quick, as said in my original post, I said HOPING. Anyone who has ever been to Jamaica would know NOTHING is fast there, so I know not to expect a fast process with them..... Im just asking about others experiences, and not even just for Jamaica, but on a whole, since there are a lot of people on this forum dealing with the Canadian government.....

PS, 4-8 months from SA would be summer. My SA was March 7th. 4 months after March is July. I know we have awful weather but July is still considered summer in most parts of Canada? I very highly doubt it would be that early, im just asking what others have experienced. Why jump down my throat? Im a newbie here, and trying to get feedback on everyone's positions, to see what to look out for, wait times, experiences, etc. The website says 25 months, but as I've seen here and what I've been told by a few ppl is that it does not usually take that long, so I was asking for others opinions and experiences.

No one is going on your throat, but unfortunatelly you must follow Jamaica thread. It serves exactly for this purpose =D
But you're right: the time shows on website is not the average, it's in the worst case scenario.
That 25 months says that 80% of ALL applications on the last 12 is done WITHIN that time.
See:
The tables below indicate application processing times at Canadian visa offices once Step 1 has been completed. The times are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2014

All you (we all) have to do is wait. We can't predict how long CIC (a.k.a black hole) will take. =(

The reason why people are focusing on your visa office (Kingston) is that once you are through Sponsor Approval for Outland, then it all depends on the Visa Office and how quickly or slowly they move, and a lot of that is region or country specific.

There are already many threads for Outland AND Inland sponsorships by month and year. But you've made several separate posts repeating the same questions, which is why someone called you out on "spamming" the forum:

1. Sponsoring from Jamaica

2. HOW MUCH LONGER? « on: 2015-03-30, 10:08:53 »

3. Kingston Jamaica « on: 2015-03-30, 10:48:22 »

4. Family class sponsorship started Dec 2014 « on: 2015-03-30, 14:11:20 »

No one can tell you HOW MUCH LONGER. We can only estimate based on other people's experiences that they have ALREADY posted in existing threads.
