Mine's the same timeline. I haven't ordered GCMS yet. Do you know when your file was last processed and at which office?

I don't meet the employment requirement but I have the matching work experience to the NOC

CIC does pay attention to employment requirements which could cause a problem for you. Can you find another NOC code without these requirements?

While chances of rejection decrease considerable after eligibility has been cleared , it's not a guarantee.

They can't lose an ELECTRONIC file. Your AoR is still fairly recent and you are well within the 6 month window. Different cases progress at different rates. You can order GCMS notes to see how your file has progressed and address any concerns you may have.

Thanks for the update. Anything in your notes to indicate why the processing is taking so long ( even though it's a 6 month timeline) ? I'm curious to know the interval time between officer updates. e.g. after reviewing eligibility , do they wait for a month before looking into security?

GCMS notes and EE profile updates.

I believe an agent / officer has to review the notes before releasing them to you. i.e. they look it over to ensure confidential information is redacted. That's the only level of scrutiny I know of.

    Processing time

That's incorrect. Family applications are not prioritized over single applicants.

I think this is a valid reason. Some people extend the submission date as they are travelling. You should be fine.

Congratulations! You can request CIC to change the office for your husband. It will be assigned to his local visa office.

I would order gcms notes to see the status for yourself. Else if you have suspicions of what is missing ... you can withdraw the application and create a new one or supplement existing one with additional docs. But it's better to see the notes and know for sure so you can take the right action imo.

A 'ghost update' is when you can't see what has changed ( hence 'ghost' ) . You can see what has changed :) However , I have no idea what the medical status change implies.

    US-based applicants, let's connect here

The actual UCI number is generated after you pass your medicals I believe. You can provide the CAN*** number to your doctor but they don't really need it. They will attach your medical reports with your passport number

LONDON Visa Office Applicants....Lets connect here

For reasons unknown, London Visa Office is slow in processing files. Maybe they are resource constrained. Here is a list of abbreviations posted by another forum member: *PCC* - Police Clearance Certificate *FSW* - Federal Skill Worker *EE* - Express Entry *ITA* - Invitation To Apply *PPR* -...

How far in the application does CIC contact employer?

I'll venture a guess.. The eligibility is usually reviewed at 2 stages: Case analysts and officer. The 'recommend pass' is the case analyst's recommendation. The officer was probably the one to call and confirm with your boss. I think if you order another set of notes , it will say Eligibility...

    Proof of Funds documents

If the transfer is recent ( within 6 months of the ITA) then it may not convince CIC. A gift deed is a safe recourse.

    1. Yes. A Canadian PR card gives you unrestricted entry to Canada 2. Wait time for what? You can enter Canada once you have your CoPR 3. US student visa is not associated with a Canadian PR.
