Can I take COPR out of passport?

It's a lot of paperwork. You have to pay several hundred Euros to the German government and give them many reasons why you need both citizenships. Only if you get the OK from the German government you are allowed to apply for the Canadian citizenship without losing the German one. I don't have...

    Getting ESTA after flagpoling

So, I'm filling out my ESTA application because I have a layover in the States on my way to Central America. One of the questions is: Have you ever been denied a U.S. visa you applied for with your current or previous passport, or have you ever been refused admission to the United States or...

Can I take COPR out of passport?

When I landed as a PR the officer stapled my COPR into my passport. I already received my PR card and I'm wondering if I can remove the COPR from the passport and keep it in a safe place. The reason why I'm asking is that I will travel to Central America soon and I want to have my COPR in Canada...

Converted Islam marrying a Naturalized Canadian Citizen as second wife

Just three words: marriage of convenience. Why not try to get a work permit to enter Canada legally and then bring his first and only real wife and kids with him? This story is so weird :o ???

IEC Visa to OWP Implied Status (PR Application) Help!

This guy is giving wrong advice all over the forum. If he will be invited to a landing interview and he will be asked the same questions I had to answer during my landing they will refuse his PR for sure. I was questioned pretty badly. The officer asked me if I stopped working after my IEC...

    CPC Ottawa instead of Vienna

But why do you have to send your passport in? You are visa-exempt and don't need a visa sticker in your passport. This is really weird

    VIENNA OFFICE

I read about a German in a separate post who applied mid-September and was already asked for passport to be sent to either Vienna or 0ottawa. First 2 months is sooo fast, second it's kind of weird because Germans are visa-exempt.

    CPC Ottawa instead of Vienna

Wow, you applied in September? I went through Vienna as well. German in Canada on working Holiday and Young Professional visa. Took me 12 months. I wished they would have processed mine also in Ottawa :o

    VIENNA OFFICE

I was in Canada during the whole process and applied outland. I would recommend the same to you. It's usually faster and if you have to leave the country for whatever reasons you don't risk your application to get denied. Vienna outland is around 12-17 months (experience of the last year) and...

Couple of Questions about PR application

Yes, I would. And tell them where you want the COPR to be mailed to. Sometimes they send it to the wrong address. It must be an address where someone can sign for your COPR. Mine came by registered mail to the wrong address and I caught it last minute at the post office! Your COPR might only be...

Living in Canada while applying OUTLAND

Yes you can. After my work permit expired I left Canada and re-entered a week later as a visitor. There is no guarantee that they will let you in at the border but with an EU passport your chances are really high. Best thing to do is bring your marriage certificate, proof of insurance and funds...

Visa for wife but no answers to our situation??? Please Need Information

Yes, Canada's immigration is expensive and takes a long time. But if you want to move here with your wife you have to suck it up. We paid almost $2000 and waited for over a year for my PR. If we would have moved to Germany instead, PR for my spouse would have taken 1-2 weeks at no cost. Yes...
