2018 Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications: timeline and updates

If I'm not mistaken, non-accompanying just means that the child is not accompanying you to/in Canada at the moment. Is this the case? However it is possible to sponsor at a later date as long as you declared them on the original application.

    Outland or Inland?!

Absolutely. Hence why I came here for research and different opinions. I'm at the point though where I'm wondering if I should contact a lawyer. I'm scared I might miss something or do something wrong.

    Outland or Inland?!

I wish there was a guarantee yes or no but it seems like through the info here that it most likely is gonna be a no he can't enter as a visitor. I also don't want to risk it and have him sent away.

    Outland or Inland?!

I guess it's because of the purpose. Visitor status = boarder patrol officers need proof you're gonna leave after your stay, and with his previous immigration history, there's no strong evidence that he'll do that. PR = its purpose is to remain in Canada.

    Outland or Inland?!

Yes, as previously mentioned the only thing that's affecting our chances at Inland are his chances of getting into Canada in the first place due to his status. It sucks cause he was so young when he immigrated..

    Outland or Inland?!

    1. No. That would be lying and thankfully through my research, legal advice and this forum, legal status doesn't affect a PR application. 2. Although undocumented he can still apply to receive a police/FBI check as it's unrelated to immigration. We're actually waiting for one right now.

    Outland or Inland?!

Thank you for your response. Wow, I didn't think that his chances of entering to Canada were that slim to none as a visitor.

    Outland or Inland?!

Hi, Thank you for your response. Will this apply even if we show proof that we're applying for inland (I.e. proof of paid fees, lawyer letter, etc.)? Maybe I can even fly there and enter with him? He is currently in California and the only way here would be to fly which means if he is turned...
