We are. Feb 6 applicant. However we're using a lawyer so not sure if they are just waiting for a formal letter or something...

Hi Japonesa! It usually takes 4-6 weeks for AOR (so you should be receiving yours by the end of the month) and 3-4 months for the OWP. It's very rare (although not impossible) for people to get their OWP in 6-8 weeks unfortunately.

OWP usually only gets rejected if the payment is wrong or they missed a signature/application form. Which is why I asked if they have received AOR.

If you have already submitted your application for OWP along with PR, and have not had it returned (in other words, have received AOR) then you are on implied status and will be fine until you get your work permit. No need to extend.

That's the same as my husband! Hopefully he hears something too. We have a rep so we can't check.

I know, you're right it is case by case, but most people in our Whatsapp group within the first weeks of Feb have not received it. I'm not just talking about my own individual case, but of many others as well.

You can only apply for a work permit for your spouse if you have submitted your PR application via the Inland route. If your spouse is living in India, and you have chosen to submit your PR application via Outland, you cannot apply for a work permit for her.
