Work permit for spouse.

Hello
I’m living in Canada on PR status. I went to india and got married two months ago. My question is can I apply for an open work permit for my spouse or I have to wait till he gets his PR? It takes longer for PR than work permit so I wanna Apply for work permit now

You can only apply for a work permit for your spouse if you have submitted your PR application via the Inland route.

If your spouse is living in India, and you have chosen to submit your PR application via Outland, you cannot apply for a work permit for her.

If you have not submitted your PR application, she can apply for a visa to come to Canada as a visitor at any time. If she is approved for her visa, she can then come to Canada as a visitor and you may apply for your PR via the Inland route, while including the OWP application with the PR application.
However in order to do this she will first have to enter Canada.
