    Problems Sending Additional Information

I would call the CRA and inform them of your situation. There are forms and information you need to fill out for them to determine residency as well. In regard to your application, did you clearly indicate that you are NOT living in Canada on your sponsorship application?

    Problems Sending Additional Information

I will be contacting them, however, I did not provide conflicting information. I just hope they can find the issue, whatever it is.

    Problems Sending Additional Information

If there is a mismatch, it’s on their end, and that’s the issue here. I provided them with the exact same information as before along with the UCI and Application numbers they provided.

    Problems Sending Additional Information

Thank you! I’m thinking they either haven’t entered it in the system yet (in which case how can they expect me to send additional information?) or they have mixed up our application with someone else’s.

    Problems Sending Additional Information

Hi everyone! So, I posted a couple weeks ago that I received an e-mail from the Centralized Intake Office requesting additional information, specifically an "Option C Printout" for the 2017 tax year. As I mentioned in my other post, I have been officially a non-resident of Canada since June of...

    Regarding “Option C Printout.”

Thank you very much for this information and advice. Yes, I do have written documentation of my official non-resident status. I will definitely be including that.

    Regarding “Option C Printout.”

I haven’t been a resident of Canada since 2015 when I moved to the United States on a K1 Fiance(e) Visa. I was officially declared by the CRA to be a “non-resident” in June of that year. I have no tax return from 2017, having been informed by the CRA that as I am officially an “non-resident” who...

    Regarding “Option C Printout.”

Hi everyone, I’m wondering if someone here can help clarify correspondence I just received from the “Centralized Intake Office” in Sydney, Nova Scotia. They are requesting additional information, but I’m unsure of what exactly they are asking for. Here is what the email says: “2017 Notice of...

****JULY 2018***** OUTLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP OUTSIDE OF CANADA

Okay, thanks for replying. As for the number of people included in the application, we did put 1 as it was our understanding that they wanted to know how many people were applying for permanent residency in Canada. As the Sponsor, I’m not applying for permanent residency. I hope that doesn’t...

****JULY 2018***** OUTLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP OUTSIDE OF CANADA

Thank you for replying. How do you create a GCKey before receiving an AOR? I was of the understanding that an online account couldn’t be created until the first notification is received.

****JULY 2018***** OUTLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP OUTSIDE OF CANADA

Hi everyone! I've followed this conversation back several pages. Am I correct that I shouldn't worry yet if our application was received on July 12, 2018 and we haven't heard anything at all so far? Is there still a chance they could return/refuse our application?

Question Regarding Sponsor Eligibility Assessment (IMM 1344)

Thank you so much for your help and your suggestions Miraclejj. :) Those are great ideas. I do have a bank account in Canada, and although we will be staying with my parents until we get on our feet and sort things out, we can definitely be looking at rentals in the area. Thanks again! I’m...

Question Regarding Sponsor Eligibility Assessment (IMM 1344)

Alright. I’m not sure what else they can expect from someone who has been living outside of Canada for 3 years. I know that not everyone is able/can afford to own property or have such substantial ties to Canada when they live in another country. It does seem more and more likely that I will...

Question Regarding Sponsor Eligibility Assessment (IMM 1344)

Thank you for your help. :) I suppose that my confusion with this section of the form stems mainly from the very decisive statement “if you answer ‘no’ to any questions from 1 to 4, you are NOT eligible to be a sponsor. You should NOT submit your application. Since my answer to question 4 is...

Questions Regarding Spousal Sponsorship (United States to Canada)

Thank you very much for your help. :) As we would both be living in the U.S. during the Visa process, would we still be able to visit Canada while our case is processing? Also, regarding future employment in Canada, (and having a plan in place to demonstrate that we can support ourselves) would...
