If you find the answer to that then let me know.. Haha.. I don't think anyone knows, there can be so many variables. I know some early Novembers are getting PPR's nowadays.. Take from that what you will. I was initially quite optimistic about myself, it was in Ottawa, gOT MR and AOR together in...

Changing your status to visitor is not going to adversely affect your PR application so don't worry. If your employer doesn't give you a LMO, another way to buy a few extra weeks after the expiry of your current WP, is to apply for an extension a week or do before it expires, via regular mail...

PCC requested... but I'm not required to submit one... can someone clarify?

Sorry.. I should rephrase my question. So i called Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and they told me I need to get my fingerprints taken, then notarize a copy, and bring the copy and they will put their seal on it, at which point i take it to the UAE embassy. The question i had for you Minta, is do...

PCC requested... but I'm not required to submit one... can someone clarify?

So I called CIC call centre and they said I did the right thing by questioning the request, and bringing to the attention of the officer, maybe he just miscalculated it. But today I got response back saying that they still require it. Oh well. Hey minta7, I got my fingerprints set today, and...

Suggestion on PCC document for CEC

Technically I don't think so since it was not consecutive months, but I don't know. Its at their discretion to ask for it anyway. Take my recent example. I lived in the UAE until I was 18yrs and 5 months exactly, and then moved to Canada. I got a PC request this week. Thought it was a mistake...

    December 2011 cec appplications

That's frustrating.. They received mine same day as yours, but it only says they have received my medicals. Nothing about process. Do you remember when it started saying your application began processing on April 30? Btw, when you click on it, does it say Application Received or In Process?

Hey, I my application reached them Dec 21st 2011, and AOR and MR came together on April 4th. Did medicals on 11th and they reached Ottawa on the 25th of April. I confirmed by email a week ago that my medicals had been received, and ecas showed my MER this past Friday.

PCC requested... but I'm not required to submit one... can someone clarify?

Hmm.. That's not bad at all, I can probably go through the same route, although its frustrating to have a delay when there shouldnt be one. Still waiting for an email response, hopefully they won't require it after clarifying t with them.

PCC requested... but I'm not required to submit one... can someone clarify?

Yea I know.. That's puzzling... Im still waiting to hear back from them. I read the procedure online on the cic website on how to apply for a off from UAE. Did you apply from within Canada? And approximately how long did it take you to first get the package ready to send to the UAE, and then...

PCC requested... but I'm not required to submit one... can someone clarify?

Hi Everyone, I received my AOR and MR on April 4th, and CEC received my medicals on April 25th. Today i received an email from them requesting a PCC from the UAE. The thing is, I was born August 12th 1985, and moved to Canada on a fulltime basis on January 14th 2004. I turned 18th on August...

    passport ............!! hi seniors......!!

If you have a valid open work permit, you can stay till the expiry even if you don't have a job can't you? Now if the applicant actually said they were employed when they weren't, that I don't know about. I had a similar situation where I applied to extend my TRV by 4 months because my work...

All January and February 2012 Applicants

Lately they haven't been that bad. The last two times I emailed Ottawa, I got a response next day, and another time, in 2/3 hours. In November though, they took about a week.

Nope, no OHIP. Think about it, you're going to be asking the Canadian Taxpayers to foot your medical bill for possible immigration.

I suppose. I have to stop reading some of these other topics on this forum with stories of 9+ months people are waiting after their medicals. I can't believe its only been just over a month since I did my medicals.. it feels like 8 months... :o

ECAS still not updated - is this common after AOR/MR received?

I understand about the medicals, its more that it hasn't changed to 'In Process' yet. I thought it would have changed to that around about the time that the MR came, which is when i saw that it changed for a number of other users. Oh well.. I have requested the CAIPS to see whats happening with...
