It is valid for 12 months but if there is no medical issue found they will likely extend it until your application is processed, but it shouldn't take that long anyway.

Don't worry, looks like they are just getting to November applicants, things will start moving very quickly soon.

Welcome! I'm not sure why the office your have told you this - most people I believe do submit them with their application. I would have your husband call and make an appointment ASAP, there is no request document needed - there is however a request letter needed for the police certificate...

Don't get down about it - I'm sure it will come soon. You got processed really fast and you didn't have an interview, I don't think there is any chance of them refusing you...

There is no straight answer to this, you will just have to wait and see. Sometimes they will extend the medical (only if there are no flags of an issue) sometimes they will ask for another either during the process or at the end, in order to land.

Strange our PPR letter we recieved last week said processing takes 1-2 weeks, and he has until March 23, 2016 to land.

Just a comment for all the folks just starting this process. The best way to track where you are is the spreadsheet (thanks to Canzanillo, the mexico VO one is fantastic). Ecas is a useless tool, case in point; ours has said application received until just this week... we received PPR this...

I received SA and AOR same day, you just don't know, be patient. It's hard not to worry but once they actuLly get to you - things should move along quickly

Me too - everyone around us is done... hoping we get waived for an interview and receive passport request in the next week or 2... I'm going down in mid July, hoping to bring home a husband with me August 1st if all goes to plan - fingers crossed!

I also needed an extension for a police clearance, my understanding for the powers that be on here, is that extensions are usually granted if you request them, but provide reasons why you need an extension. I think if you ask for more extensions, for good reasons, they will likely be given
