Bro, I got admission at McGill. I was emailed by my thesis supervisor that he recommended me to the Electrical and Computer Engineering department for Masters. Have you heard from UBC yet? :D

Hi! You should email them directly and write a short letter about your profile and why you want him or her to be your supervisor. I did that in December and I got a Skype interview last week. Which department and college/university are you trying to get in to? Good luck! :)
