dewgirl, The best way would be to contact a supervisor or somebody from the department at which you are trying to get in and ask. As long as your undergrad is directly related to your intended master's degree, you should be good.

waleedusman1, My status is "In Review". I think they're giving out decisions by March/April. I am talking to a potential supervisor though via email. They will start reviewing applications later this month according to him.

You're going to have to carry both your old and new passports. My dad has an active visa on an expired passport and so he carries both when he travels. The immigration officer will check the visa on the old passport but put stamps of departure/arrival on the new one.

Hi akshays136, I also applied at McGill - M.Eng. - ECE (Thesis). Maybe you should email a supervisor and have your profile assessed? It's been said that if a supervisor is willing to take you in, then your chances of getting admission will become higher.

ukakkar, Have you also applied at other universities? I have applied at McGill for Fall 2014, M.Eng. - ECE - thesis. For McGill, choosing an adviser is not required during application as they will assign you one if you get admitted. None the less, I emailed two professors and one has responded. :)
