    US outland applicants' thread :)

Just wanted to pop on this thread. I was originally on the old buffalo thread, so I figured I'd hop on this one. After reading all the hullaballoo, I'm hoping times for buffalo applicants go smooth (and with all applicants too). :)

Checking back in. My spouse visited for about 3 weeks so I've been MIA during that time. I'd love to see a jump in the application time! ;D I also read that some (or all) of the march applicants were sent to the Ottawa office. Is this true? Do we have any confermation from the cic?

:-\ 1/3 of the way there through phase one. I guess it's something, I'm just glad to have put in the application as soon as we did. Now my days are spent diligently watching/refreshing the Processing Time page on the CIC website. >:( Update to follow.

    Thread for outland Buffalo applicants!

Just a note, I got my FBI background check back in 4 weeks. The FBI website predicts 8 weeks. So yes, go ahead and start on it, and hopefully they'll process your request efficently.

Well I know that they took the payment since my card was charged. I guess I'm going to have to wait until they open it then :(

Here's a question that hopefully someone here can help me with. We mailed in our application on April 25th, and it was delivered on April 27th (according to the tracking on Canada post). Is there any way to check with the CIC that they have recieved the application, or is that only when they...

    Police Certificates

So I know that the police certificates are only valid for 3 months after recieving them. My question is: If I send in my police certificate in with my application (and they are valid), but they expire at some point during the application process, will they request new certificates, or will...

Hi all. My husband is sending ours in today (April 25th 2012). I'm the applicant and he's the sponsor, and it'll be going to the Mississauga processing center in Ontario. We've known eachother for almost 3 years, and now we can start the waiting game. I'm a mixture of nervous and excited. :D...

    Immigration Photos

Hello everyone, I know that this has been talked about before, but I still find myself confused. According to my country specific guide, I'll need 4 photos for the immigration process, and 4 for Medical (so 8 total). What my concern is people have mentioned putting names and dates on the...

Family Class in Canada Sponsorship questions.

Thank you so much everyone. We've decided to apply outland, and will be getting married this March, looking to apply between late March and late April. If there's any advice people have, I'd greatly appreciate it. :)

Family Class in Canada Sponsorship questions.

Thanks for all the advice! My fiance and I are gonna talk about it. One final question. If we apply outland (to US offices) Scylla said hers took only 5 months to process. The CIC website says almost a year for both stages 1 and 2. Should we expect a years time for an outland process, or do...

Family Class in Canada Sponsorship questions.

Alright, if I go with just a couple of suitcases then and with out any of my personal belongings, would they still deny me entry even if I travel by car (my car which is registered in Rhode Island)?

Family Class in Canada Sponsorship questions.

I definatly don't want this to happen :( Does it make any difference that I'd be traveling with my fiance who's a Canadian citizen?

Family Class in Canada Sponsorship questions.

Thank you for the clarification. We will be doing an inland application, so I need to know the local CIC office in British Columbia. Has anyone ever driven over the border to apply for inland family sponsorship?
