My understanding is that an application won't be changed to "in process" in ECAS unless Kingston has received it.

They did get an ECAS updated that their application is "in process"- that's pretty much how I learned that ours was with KVO too...so maybe the same case? I don't think they always send an AOR2. Only way my husband and I knew for certain, was I had to email an inquiry and KVO replied confirming...

Hi Jalisse, Wow! What a long wait. Has your sponsor tried contacting their local MP since it's been over a year since you've applied and 6 months since you had your interview? I'm also curious- were you asked for an RCMP fingerprint record, and how long did it take for you to get it if you did?

Same here, we got email notification that there was a message in his CIC account, which was where the invite letter was uploaded. :)

Request was received by FBI on May 17th, and we received the reportin the mail yesterday, August 15th.

The application is ridiculously overwhelming at first, but once you start, it's actually not as bad as it first appears. It's definitely your decision, but if anything, I would just hire a consultant or a lawyer to review the application to make sure it is complete before submitting it. That...

As previously mentioned, yes- for Express Entry, it is required upfront. But again, for Spousal Sponsorship applications, which is what this forum is for- applicants have the option to include it or do it when they are asked to. Two different types of applications, two different set of rules.
