    Actually prior to C-24, there was no limit of 365 days because that's as you said all you could get, two years of pre-PR and two years of post-PR and that's exactly why C-6 limits it to 365 days. Because now it has to be 3 out of 5 years so technically the max you could get is 730 days of pré-PR...

    But CIC send you the COPR, you just have to sign it with the border agent, the agent doesn't give you a COPR. Did he/she present him/herself to the border with no COPR and expected the border agent to take their word for it that they were selected to be a Permanent Resident ? I don't really follow

    The date on the bottom is not accurate, it says 6 june 2014, but the page was updated last week. This is a snapshot of the page on april 23rd and as you can see, the page doesn't talk about any incoming procedure update...

    They are planning a Royal Assent ceremony, I wouldn't be surprised if they planned it on the 1st of July for Canada Day. Once it becomes law, CIC will issue a statement to say when the rules will be enforced

    They said plenty of awful things to be honest, don't wanna shift the conversation, just look at the #C-16 on twitter and read what people are saying. Vote on C-16 will happen in 30 minutes and debate on C-6 will follow the vote
