    Biometrics in Canada or US?

You can do your biometrics in the US as long as you are legally allowed to be in the US, you don't have to already be there. So if you need a visa to enter the US, you have to get one, visiting just to do your biometrics doesn't exempt you from that requirement.

Retire and marry my fiancee in Canada? Immigrate from USA

If her disability assistance is government sponsored she would be ineligible to sponsor you. Y'all can get married just fine, but if she's on any kind of government assistance the sponsorship will be a problem. You could also get into some interesting cross-border tax issues with your 401k...

    Schedule A - Background Declaration IMM5669 - Validation

Use the old one. eIMM5669 should be the one it gave you when you use the little wizard thing to get all the forms for the package, that's the one you need to use.

    form submission help needed

Highly likely. I'm still waiting for a decision, and there's no guarantee that will come quickly at all, but the Mississauga office tends to move outland applications fairly quickly so I do have a bit of hope.

    form submission help needed

You don't have to put anything if you don't want to. You should have already shared how you met in a previous question, but if you want to include about meeting his family, that's your choice. I can't tell you if it will help you, but it won't necessarily hurt you. Apologies, I didnt fully...

It's your opportunity to share any information about your relationship that you were unable to share or unable to fully explain in other parts of the form/application package, or information that you think will support your claim of a legitimate relationship. I didnt include anything here so I...

Plus if he does show up to the landing interview and they're not together anymore (if he's actively pursuing other relationships) doesn't that make it a case of misrepresentation?

Q:Inland spousal PR sponsorship, owp + extension to visitor status

Ahhh gotcha :) you're right, it is a pretty simple application, but there are so many pieces that it's easy to forget something or mess something up. This forum is honestly one of the best resources for any questions you might have, I definitely made use of it a ton while I was putting together...

Q:Inland spousal PR sponsorship, owp + extension to visitor status

So your husband and children are all Canadian citizens, correct? I don't quite understand what you mean by "registered to live here in Canada permanently," but as long as you have proof of citizenship for your children, since they're dual, they are all free to stay in Canada without any extra...

Can an Outland PA visit Spouse in Canada?

By the time I did my biometrics, I had a valid visitor record, so I didn't have much trouble. It was a huge pain in the ass to have to do it, though, because the nearest office to Vancouver is all the way in Seattle, so while it was nice to stop by to see my family while I was down there, it...

Can an Outland PA visit Spouse in Canada?

Our is actually outland by accident. We intended to apply inland (I've been here since we got married in January), and did initially, but our first attempt was returned because of a forgotten document, and upon resubmitting my husband picked the wrong address on the checklist and sent it to...

Q:Inland spousal PR sponsorship, owp + extension to visitor status

    1. Technically it's from when you submit the OWP application (along with your PR package). I would suggest submitting it at least 4-6 weeks before your current status runs out, because if your application gets returned it tends to be within that window (most folks are reporting getting their...

Can an Outland PA visit Spouse in Canada?

There's no special stamp for dual intent, nor do they make the assumption. He needs to tell them upon entry that he is visiting his spouse AND has a PR application submitted and would like to stay in Canada while it processes. I'm an outland applicant currently staying in Canada with my...

New Pilot Program for Undeclared Dependants

Unfortunately, because they are over 22, they are no longer Dependent Children (even though they were at the time) so you would be ineligible to sponsor them. I'm sorry that your situation is such a mess.

    AOR question

There have been rare cases of applications returned after receiving AOR, but I'm not entirely sure the circumstances, I've just seen a couple people mention it in various threads. AOR means your application has been received and assessed for completion. 99.9% of the time, if you receive an AOR...
