It doesn't matter what your current job is but you should have a Permanent future job offer from your employer explicitly saying your company is going to keep you on Permanent and indeterminate basis after you get your PR.

I don't want to discourage anyone but CIC would need all the passports even they are cancelled. If you are reporting the period pertaining to your old passport in your personal or employment history, sure they want to see all passports. Does this make sense?

I am surprised that they have asked you to pay $100 but in my case no questions asked they rejected straight away mentioning incorrect payment. I am glad that I have another BOWP application with correct fee which I applied after 2 weeks of my first application. Still waiting for its approval.
