Leaving Canada for few months while sponsorhip In Progress ..?

Most canadian vacations are max 2 weeks, you could likely get away with up to a month, but 3 to 4 months is too long and would be taking a risk.

Leaving Canada for few months while sponsorhip In Progress ..?

Most wont recommend you travel for an extended period during this process unless you're a Canadian Citizen. Generally, short trips are ok, but if gone for several months, they will question your residency and potentially deny your application.

    Spouse Sponsor - Help

You would submit the owp app together with the sponsorship app, it does take 3 to 5 months to process as you noted, so you would need to be comfortable with her being unemployed for a while. There's no way that I know of to get it more quickly. She can always extend her tourist visa if need be...

Yes, the daughter is your dependent. You may be required to provide proof like birth certificates or custody order, but the last name wont prevent a sponsorship.

New Delhi (NDVO) 2018 - Spousal Sponsorship Outside Canada

No, you misunderstand, under Final Decision, the current status is "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made." They are still checking eligibility, I don't know how long from now, but assume the 12 month timeframe.

New Delhi (NDVO) 2018 - Spousal Sponsorship Outside Canada

Yes, you'll get an email and then you can read the letter you get on GCKey. Ultimately, the information you see is going to be the same, but in a different format. In ecas, you see a new line when something happens on your file, but on GCKey it shows the different steps on the file and then a...

New Delhi (NDVO) 2018 - Spousal Sponsorship Outside Canada

Creating an account wont speed up your application and provides more or less the same information as ecas, except with a little more detail. So, it's really up to you. Once you set it up correspondence will be sent to your GCkey account, so rather than an email with the letter attached. You'll...

Engagement Ring & Traveling between countries

No, I dont - of course they likely only show cases that would make "good tv", that is NOT the norm. I'm referring to personal experience with crossing the border and that of friends and family. Many of whom cross over regularly. If you're bringing a lot of jewelry over in your luggage, then by...

Canadian Citizens By Birth Sponsoring a Partner Thread.

Canadian by birth and it makes no difference, we are all in the same boat. Most applications have medical done within 3 months of app rec'd date, it would seem. This is normal. After the medicals/biometrics, the real waiting starts.

Engagement Ring & Traveling between countries

Can't you just wear the ring?? I've never heard of anyone being questioned about jewelry that's worn on the body when crossing the CDN/US border.

Is there any voice or video record during the interview?

I've seen a few instances similar to yours in the spousal appeal thread, where the notes conflicted with what happened, or the notes were made some time after the interview and the officer appeared to either make them up or their memory of the interview was inconsistent. Maybe you could look...

New Delhi (NDVO) 2018 - Spousal Sponsorship Outside Canada

Regardless, an MP will only intervene on your behalf it's after 12 months. The volume of work is too high for NDVO to respond to every inquiry unless the case has exceeded normal processing times. The idea is they will contact you if they need something from you, otherwise we cant really get any...
