You should report him, what he is doing is illegal. I saw on the news about the tfw's who report their employer who are doing things like your boss does and they give them open work permit and the employer get charged.

You could but I don't think its necessary. We have only sent about 24 pictures, letters from friends and joint account statements. If your relationship is real you shouldn't have to worry .

Hope that you get the AINP certificate before your work permit expires so you can apply for bridging open work permit and be on implied status. I don't think you can be nominated if you change to a tourist visa.

Hmm I guess they changed it. When I applied 2012, if you send an open work permit application with sponsorship you will be on implied status. Work permit and AIP also came 6 months exact. It seems like they are making everything a bit harder now.

I think what Jes_On suggested is the best route to go, He should be sponsored by PR spouse, send an open work permit and restoration together with the sponsorship forms and not leave Canada till the whole application is complete. He won't be able to work till the open work permit comes with...

The 2 year maximum rule actually doesn't take effect till Summer of 2015 (esdc website)

The new 2 year maximum rule goes on effect Summer 2015, it also says that it does not apply to TFW's already here. However it is still unclear so it might be safer to assume that your work permit might not be extended by 2016.

From what I read on esdc website the 2 year rule only apply to new work permits processed by Summer 2015. The 30% cap and the 1000$ fee is effective immediately. (Limit Duration for low-wage TFWs- Summer 2015) So there's a chance TFW's already here can have another 1 year with an application...

I think you might not be able to get a new work permit because you have already worked as a TFW for 2 years, also your workplace should have only 30% TFWs by that time. You should look into ways of getting permanent residence.
