I guess your IDs that demonstrate that you are (the person submitting the enquiry) the same person whose case is under consideration. Otherwise everyone would be able to ask about everyone's case, so they need to make sure you are who you say you are.

That is why I think petition to minister is pointless. They know the situation, it will not change anything if we once again remind them of it. Going to media is not pointless though, as then the pressure is applied from outside the organisation.

I think the reasons why your parents left are not important. What is important is that you were minor, and now at the first opportunity you want to return to Canada. You should have very good chances for PRTD for my opinion.

How about making a visit to CIC office in your city, with that letter and with your IDs. Alternatively you can probably visit a notary with your IDs and obtain their statement that they seen you and your IDs, and send this statement over to CIC.
