Yes. I guess Nigerian passport do not qualify for visa on arrival, so yes you will have to book an appointment at the US embassy and apply for a visa. Since you have already applied for citizenship, you do not have to declare this travel to CIC.

But is this the only time you visited the states ? Also, I don’t think this is an issue because usually they don’t care where you travelled to unless you stayed more than 180 days. You can always update the data and send an updated form to CIC.

My application went into process as of December 6th. The SS is wrongly updated.

ECAS is the only way to know if your app is in process. Do you have to check every day? Well, that depends on you how often you wanna check. From what I've seen, their system refreshes with new data every day between midnight to early morning. Thanks..
