There is a high possibility you would be asked to renew the passport before issuing your PPR. Most of the visa offices needed passports with 6 months validity or more. Rarely come across any with validity period lesser than that.

I'm with you as well on this one. my AOR is 13th March, so I complete 6 months like in few hours. n they are still reviewing my eligibility. zero change in my background :(

If you are applying from PSK, India then it depends. I've observed that if your address was verified by the local police station while issuing your passport, then they would have the same in their records and you would get your PCC on the same day. Otherwise, it takes minimum 3 weeks.

Query regarding TEF Canada. Did you travel to Chennai, India to take the test? Or you had other options available? I remember when I gave an attempt last October, we had a candidate from Mauritius. That could be possible because, as you mentioned, there are only 3 tests in a span of 12 months...
