You will not receive confirms from CIC regarding PCC or if you sent your RPRF by mail.

    I think that's fine too.

Yes, I have CoPR and all I did was send back the receipt attached in an email. I put all my personal info (UCI, app number etc.) in the email itself, not on the actual receipt.

    Counting started for 12,000 cap

Interesting point, I would think it's either the one that was longest or the one that is most recent? Who knows, maybe it's whatever the IO feels like when they are updating the list.

IEC 2014 - International Experience Canada

You cannot extend an IEC permit. If you mean getting another IEC, then yes you have to leave by the date on the old one and come back to activate the new one.

TRANSLATION OF BIRTH CERTIFICATES---> Notarized or Certified or BOTH

How would you get the original notarized if the notary here in Canada likely won't understand the language?

    Landing Appointments (inland)

The border is 2-3 hour drive and I have a full-time job. The 16th is the earliest I could have gone anyway, and the appointment is earlier than that so I'm just going to do it.

    Landing Appointments (inland)

Thanks guys. There isn't much info on landing appointments on here so I thought I'd share...maybe my story is one of the reasons why they're not too common ::)

    Landing Appointments (inland)

My experience in arranging a landing appointment. First, I should explain that I am very wary of the US having any sort of record on me, so I do not really feel comfortable with the concept of "flagpoling". Just my personal feeling, many others have done it successfully. I already spend, on...

IEC 2014 - International Experience Canada

Admittedly it's been a while since I first applied for my IEC, but unless the rules have changed, the only reason an Australian needs to go through a medical is if they will be working or planning to work in "high-risk" occupations e.g. healthcare, teaching etc. In any case, Toby's right, CIC...

    Administrative Refusals

OK, so now the question becomes "do you want to be patient and wait, or do you want this over with sooner"? I had a rather tough time with the appointment process (a story for another thread, perhaps) but now that it is made and almost here I appreciate not being stressed about what happens at...

    Administrative Refusals

I, like you, am very wary of the US having any sort of record on me. I already spend, on average, 1-2 hours at each (road) border crossing explaining my temporary work permit status and that I'm NOT trying to illegally move to the US. Whenever I have flown instead they have not had any...

    August 2013 Applications

If you are already living in Canada and cannot or do not want to go to the border, you can schedule a landing appointment with CIC once you receive the CoPR. Call the CIC call centre for more details on this. Wait times for an appointment can be very long depending on your location.

Paid same fee twice - two different ways...can I get a refund?

Did you submit your application by mail, online, or both? If you haven't even sent in the paper receipt, commonsense tells me you should be able to get that back. Assuming you are in Canada right now, contact the call centre and have the receipt with you.

New CEC - Jan 2014 Applications

No, you don't have to be here 3 years. All you need to do is: a) have 12 or more months of qualifying experience b) have that experience be within the past 3 years

New CEC - Jan 2014 Applications

I think you've misunderstood - you need 12 months of qualifying experience within the past 3 years. You don't need 3 years of continuous experience.
