Oh, yes, we know. It's being done on Monday; I was just meaning we didn't know if it means anything in terms of where our application is at in the processing stage, that's all...

Hi folks I'm wondering people have found to be the ideal point to order notes? 5 months in? 6 months in? Longer? Thanks!

You're right, it is strange! Maybe they won't want to be bothered and will waive it in the end ;)

Transfer of File for Interview purposes

I find it so odd that they closed the office in Santiago, especially given that Chileans are now visa-exempt, you would think this would cause a spike in all sorts of immigration applications. I really hope things move swiftly for you! If it helps at all, my partner got his visitor's visa...

    Mexico

Hi everyone, Does anyone who has been following Mexico VO for a while know the average order of things, and average processing times? I know everything varies a ton but am wondering if there are any overarching trends? We are at 6 months now since we submitted our application, AOR2 on December...

Hey there! My partner is from Argentina and we have applied outland. We are being processed in the Mexico VO as well. We are considering applying for a TRV for him so he can come to my university graduation and stay for a month or two in the summer. Did you two successfully apply for, and...

Hey Diana! Congratulations! Which VO are you? I can't get into the spreadsheet but have a feeling we are both Mexico? I might be wrong. I've had BGC IP since December, even before medical request. Now we are working on getting the medical and hopefully there will be some movement after that...

    Mexico

I not sure, but in our case, we submitted my partner's medical upfront, though it was due to expire a couple months later. I'm guessing this messed up the regular order of things and now they are requesting it. I'm hoping this doesn't mean extra delays for us, but it's really imposible to know!

    Mexico

Yes, we never received an e-mail from Mexico VO, but ECAS says "we started processing your application on Dec.6th".. which I took to be AOR2, and then a couple days ago they sent us the medical request = someone has opened our file! lol

    Mexico

Five minutes after my previous post, we got a request for medical exam for my partner. I'm relieved because we had submitted upfront but it expired right away and I was hoping that didn't cause confusion.

    Interview Invite

You know, I had never thought of it this way! I had this assumption that being married looked better to IRCC, but you make a good point about there being no requirement to have lived together even if you are married! And yes, those subconscious societal biases are likely quite prevailing when...
