    September 2018 - Citizenship Applicants

Wow, so much difference with the location being the same! Wonder what is it that makes some apps zip through and others just hang. Is it just luck with respect to the case officer or does something like country of origin, years of education, type of job count? All you can do is guess. I just...

Yep. There was some hope after Thomas got his oath invitation. But all quiet after that.

    Question about Citizenship

The only other worry for you is if your application gets returned. If anything is missing in terms of signatures or docs etc, they don't inform you by email, you just get your application back by post. And if you are out of the country, you might not know. Would suggest that you wait until you...

Montreal - DM to Oath? Anyone have up-to-date timeline?

Congrats on becoming a citizen. I believe you had a rough journey. Must be a relief. I have always been a bit curious about why Montreal has been so slow. There are 100+ people taking oath at a time and a ceremony happening roughly every week. There are 2 locations in Montreal and 1 in Quebec...

Great to hear that after all that you are through finally. Gives me some hope. I hope my ATIP notes has some info that will be reassuring.

    September 2018 - Citizenship Applicants

Just a question - was your application straightforward? No long stays out of Canada that needed a police clearance certificate, no frequent travels, family living in Montreal with you etc? Mine has been in process since Feb 11. I assumed it was because I spent 10 months in Germany for which I...

    September 2018 - Citizenship Applicants

Changes in ECAS such as application going into process or decision made don't trigger emails. Test invite, fingerprint request, oath invite or request for other docs are what you get by email.

    September 2018 - Citizenship Applicants

I applied for notes yesterday. It will be a month before I get them. But I am not expecting any movement in the application until July. And Montreal gives 2 weeks notice for the oath. So most likely the oath invite will come end of June or early July or maybe even later. At least the notes will...

    September 2018 - Citizenship Applicants

Today I will be completing 2 months since giving my test in Montreal and my ECAS is still IP and I have not heard from CIC. I have been thinking of applying for ATIP/GCMS notes. Anyone else in the Montreal group hanging in the air are applying or have applied for GCMS/ATIP notes?

    September 2018 - Citizenship Applicants

Hi guys, Was looking at the September sheet and last DM was on row 41 after a test on March 26. What's going on? Are people not reporting changes on ECAS or is there really no movement at all in terms of DMs? Request to all in Sept 2018 thread - please check your ECAS and post about changes. It...

    September 2018 - Citizenship Applicants

Last person who got his oath invite was 5 months after test. Do you have to be away for long? In that case, can you rush back for the oath when you get your invite? About missing passport, I am guessing you will have to inform your govt about it if you can't find it. If you decide to travel you...

    September 2018 - Citizenship Applicants

I think that is the Montreal timeline - 4-5 months after test. Another who gave his test on Nov got his oath invite for April. That's 5 months. It's going to be a long 2-3 months more for us :(

    September 2018 - Citizenship Applicants

I would make a thousand fake profiles and hit the like button on this appeal a thousand times if it would make the Montreal office wake up from whatever deep hibernation they have gone into.

Great! Congrats! Absolutely no movement in Montreal for anyone on the forum the past few weeks. Let's hope the East picks up soon.

    September 2018 - Citizenship Applicants

I just called up the CIC call centre and told them I was calling to check if they send me anything by regular mail and I missed it. The agent told me there has been no update after the test and that's where it is now. I had a sudden panic as I spent 10 months in Germany for which I had given...

    September 2018 - Citizenship Applicants

Waking up in the morning and checking my ECAS has become like a morning prayer routine. First my PR, then sponsoring my wife and now my citizenship. My third immigration application.
