My first call to them was also just to ask for current status. Don't need to worry about harming your application. I know sometimes you get unpleasant agent, but it's their job to let you know you status.

I don't know what you're supposed to ask. I'm just sharing my recent experience with CIC agent. I had a legitimate question. I'm not asking you to call them for just the sake of current status.

My status was changing like that before yesterday, then after yesterday, it changed to they need more information from me, but there's no new request. They need to hire a new technician.

I got IP2 last Wednesday and still waiting. Every time when I see number of days goes up, it feels like PPR is never coming. Never thought I'll be waiting for this long.

Additional documents changed to being reviewed again! Whyyyyyyyy...

The process of my case has been really weird. But I have seen a senior member wrote somewhere saying during IP2 they do eligibility and background checks. I've screenshotted it. Maybe it just doesn't take long to do these two checks? So confusing.

I got IP2 yesterday afternoon, but when I called yesterday morning, the agent said my eligibility and background check are not started yet. I think I'll be waiting for a bit longer than usual for PPR. sigh....

It really depends on if you're lucky enough. The agent I got from last time was really nice.

Call them to see what they've been doing with your case. Even though you sometimes get unpleasant agents, it's their job to give you some insight. They can only blame that PR process is not transparent enough.

They also requested additional document from me, for travel history, when I didn't even travel to anywhere. How funny!

I don't understand why a few of early March AOR cases (including me) are being processed particularly slow!!!!! My case is not complicated at all. I sometimes wish I submitted my application a little later in mid or late March, maybe I would've received PPR already! :(
