I can only help you with your second question. If you plan to stay in Canada after graduation, it's better to take 2-year program because you can get a 3-year post graduate work permit after graduation. But only public schools and certain private schools are qualified for post graduate work permit.

I don't think that you need IELTS score to apply study permit. As long as you have acceptance letter from university. However, if you didn't meet the required IELTS score, how did you get accepted to the program?

Of course it's beneficial to take another IELTS test if you can get a higher score. :)

My score is 444, realistically my prediction is around 446-448. Fingers crossed that I can get invited Feb 22nd. :-X
