    September 2020 - Delays - Corona Virus

Whilst most of those with stage 1 processing will continue to study permit approval, even complete applications from areas of the world such as Europe with open VACs have also received stage 1 processing and not study permit approval. It's worst for those with courses that cannot be done...

    Student Permit Approval from UAE

Passing through first stage means your application paperwork has been examined, no adverse decision has been made based on that examination. Some applicants have incomplete applications due to the situation such as lacking in medicals / criminal records / biometrics, others have submitted the...

    London visa office update?

We don't live in the UK but the fees are £9250 which is around 16,000 Canadian dollars, living expenses would be at least 14,000, so a total of around 30,000 Canadian dollars. Yep you can cover that by student loans. My daughter is French-English speaking and her choice university offers far...

Do you need proof of funds when applying to a University/College?

Only 90 days? Gosh my daughter has waited 6 months already. In the current circumstances, it's impossible to know how long people might wait for study permits. It might depend on what sort of university you are applying to if they ask for proof of funds. My daughter was asked to provide proof...

Study permit from Italy - proof of funds

Your father should write a declaration of sponsorship containing how much I had in savings and how much I earned gross and net each year and details of other income. I did this for my daughter. I provided proof it's my daughter and that we live in a household. I provided proof I had enough in...

Is it wise to start online classes starting 2nd Sept without AIP ?

Nothing is 100% even with an approved study permit and even with a trv. At least with an email stating your application has gone through first stage which includes always your financial proofs, the obligatory forms, the letter of offer of admission, you know a human has looked at your...

AIP & crossing border as US citizen?

The ridiculous situation is that many applicants with complete applications have their study permits approved already if they applied a few months ago, but IRCC have deliberately held back releasing these approvals. It is making the lives of applicants very difficult for some and at the very...

Fake? I've stated facts. Facts which you can verify. You have harassed me, can you please stop? That is verifiable too, you accused me of spreading fake information yesterday and a few days earlier. I am requesting you now stop harassing me and stop false accusations against me. Thank you.

    AIP for full app

There are VACs open around the world, several of them, just some applicants cannot travel to them. Even where VACs are open, almost no one has received their approval of study permits. In this forum, I found s single applicant living in Hong Kong stating he received his approval in April.

AIP & crossing border as US citizen?

IRCC use the term aip only with permanent residence applications. In the email and in published articles from IRCC, there is no mention of aip related to the temporary 2 stage processing of study permits. You may use the term.but ircc does not.

This is the bread and butter of being a visa officer. I definitely know more than you unless you're senior management in a visa issuing post.

Or if they find documents are not genuine, or if change of circumstances would lead to refusal or if circumstances were not as claimed.

AIP & crossing border as US citizen?

You have no approval in principle, your study permit has gone through the first stage of assessment. You need a letter of introduction to confirm your study permit has been approved. It's not great at all for you and others.
