Sorry to jump in your conversation, I just have a question, with my sponsorship approval letter there are two numbers, one is the UCI, and the other is the Application # which starts with F. Is it the same as File number that VO uses?

I guess I can now officially join this thread, I received my sponsorship approval on 12th January 2012 and the file is being transferred to Damascus. So now I just have to wait a loooooooooong nerve cracking 13 months. By the time my wife gets her Visa most of you are already with your loved...

Guys I came home and the sweet letter of approval was waiting for me in the mailbox :D It's dated 12th January. Congratulation to everyone who got approved, The rest of you just hang in there, the good news are on the way :)

Guys should I be worried? I'm the only one left without approval from the first week of November. I keep thinking that I might have done something wrong :(

Acknowledgment of Receipt = AOR , is a letter/email you would likely receive from CIC/Mississauga to inform you that your application has been received by CIC. I think there's another one which you will get once your application is at the Visa Office (VO).

Thanks for the positive vibe, My situation is a bit different, I just moved to Canada in October, and submitted my application a week after I got here, So I'm not sure how it turns out ???
