I just received the same email confirming that my application has been received on 4th November (Which is the correct date), I wouldn't worry about the letter content as it is an automated letter anyway Hopefully the rest of us hear a good news soon :)

Absolutely, I just hate to see couples wait more than they supposed to. It is already a long process

mistletoes I think CIC is being conservative and also the date is only being updated once a week so maybe they are really working faster, although they are still few September applicants who haven't received their approvals.
