VACs need to open and operate even if it is at a reduced capacity for us to get decisions on our apps

Are your eligibility and background check completed? My app was received in Jan and the agent says they haven't even initiated the eligibility and background check yet on my file? VO is CPC-M. Difficult to come to terms with it

Are people from Oct 2019 and before receiving decisions at this time?

Actually I checked ECAS for the first time with sponsor's details. My file was received on Jan. 16, medicals and biometric done on Feb 22 and transferred to CPC-M shortly after. I have not heard ever since. Kind of frustrated to see no progress in about 8 months.

I have got "Decision Made" under Sponsorship Application Status and "Application Received" under Permanent Residence Application Status in ECAS when I logged in with Sponsor's credentials. Does this mean I have been approved as a sponsor or we got a decision made on our application? Any clue...

Where can I find sponsor's details to sign-in ECAS. I have been using PA's details from GC key to check ECAS status. It just says "application received".

It just doesn't. This virus won't go away soon. It's hard to understand what are they waiting for, whole India is operational currently. What they should be doing is planning for safe re-opening of VACs so that work doesn't stall and our applications get some decisions in the upcoming months...

Is it possible to convince/request IRCC to open VACs in India as many many applications are awaiting approval but not getting it due to the closures. I know NDVO is accepting and returning passports through courier. But all other are temporarily closed and they have been closed for a long time...

I know it's getting tougher and tougher. I have been waiting myself since January. Don't allow the disappointment of this affecting your piece of mind. It just doesn't help! Be strong!

My file is at CPC-Miss and eligibility and security check hasn't started. Like someone said in the forum its being done by a different office. Could it be Ottawa?

Which 2nd office the rep mentioned in case you know? I agree they should have digitized it long back. If they are not mailing files and still in the process of setting it up online, then how come some people have received their decisions on their apps. It seems not everyone's file is being stuck...

I will be visiting my spouse by year end. Not sure if it adds any value or not but I am certain to go!
