No you don't need to pay any fees now. The only amount to be paid is the VFS charges. That comes to about 575/passport. Only cash is accepted and so please plan to carry the same. The photographs - 1 needs to have the stamp of studio along with the date of photograph for all applicants

I will let the seniors send their comments. But my 2 cents - you can mention the approx value of this land and carry a copy of the title papers of the land with you. This will establish your source of this income and also be an evidence when you need bring in the amount at a later point in time.

It's perfectly fine. The name shown is the person who has paid it. Your friend can mention the UCI number & other details along with the name and send it. The UCI number is the one which is used to tie the documents together

Any amount in Indian currency is not acceptable for PoF. You need to show them in Canadian currency. You can open an account with scotia bank thru kotak Mahindra bank and deposit the money there to show it.

PoF is needed only during your landing. The VO needs evidence of the PoF which you would have submitted along with your application. Now you can sit tight and relax until you get your CoPR and are on your way to Canada for doing your landing formalities.
