Disagree bro...Bill C-24 is already law and it talks about Canadian citizenship...
canadianimmigrant.ca/slider/bill-c-24-is-now-law-canadian-citizenship-is-harder-to-get-easier-to-lose
"To apply for Canadian citizenship, permanent residents now both have to have lived in Canada for four years out of the last six, and also have to have lived in Canada for 183 days or more per year in four out of the last six years. Previously, permanent residents only had to live in Canada for three out of the four years prior to their application. As well, much to the chagrin of international students and foreign workers, the time spent in Canada prior to obtaining permanent residency will no longer count toward the residency requirement. "

But rajneesh is talking about maintaining PR status (renewal of pr card)...That condition hasn't been changed right?

You are right arkscan!! Thanks for letting us know.

Yes, you are right, these are amends for getting Citizenship.
No changes to retaining PR.

Just for refrence, here is the official link. A good read.

@arkscan, @rvp_deltario
Thanks for quick responses. +1 to both of you.

So are we sure that the new rule applies to Citizenship applications only & not to PR Renewals ? Or, is there any other new rule expected in this May for PR?

Hi someone who has received passport back from VFS, can you please inform how will i come to know that i can go and collect my passport from VFS.

Do they send some message

Dear Forum Members...just got the update in VFS tracking "Your processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office NEW DELHI, on 02/04/2015 to the Canada Visa Application Centre".
I submitted the passport to VFS on 20th March and it reached NDVO on 23rd March.

I had also informed about my wife's pregnancy and she got pregnant after we submitted the MR.

So, I am curious to know whether they had stamped the VISA or they have just returned the passport. Can something be deciphered from the VFS status?

Thanks,
Vinodh

I have registered to participate in CIIP. Do anybody know the next CIIP SESSION in new delhi? Who all are planning to attend the same?
