Can I travel from USA to Canada via flight or Land as of Today ?

If you don't have a plan to self isolate on arrival, they will put you in government assigned hotels /spots. All this provided you can even fly with work permit. Didn't they announce a while back that only Citizens and PRs can fly into Canada and that too only when they don't have any symptoms?

Setting up corporation for contract work in US

Not to mention, if you are fine with corporation, you will just be an employee of the corporation (along with board member etc). Your employer will have to deal with your corporation as a business entity located in Canada and not with you as a individual for payments, legal paperwork etc. Your...

Setting up corporation for contract work in US

You will have to find out if your employer can even support remote full time employment from Canada. Few US firms have branches in Canada and they transfer employees to this branch and you would get paid in CAD etc. You will get all benefits like insurance but will end up paying high income...

Setting up corporation for contract work in US

But yeah don't get too fancy like Income splitting. Play by the rules and you can still optimize. Like instead of working 15 years and paying high taxes every year, you could plan to work for 10-12 years and let the corporation run the minimum pay for the remaining duration etc. Your personal...

Setting up corporation for contract work in US

I would recommend for contract based work. You can set it up either at federal level or province specific. I let all the income sit in the inc and pay 13% tax and take out a minimum as a pay. Basically, you can play around to reduce your tax liability and claim genuine expenses (home office...

    IELTS suspension.

CIC will not wait, they have already held some draws targeting Canadian Experience Class. Students within Canada and CEC inland folks will keep it going for a while.

    IELTS suspension.

Yup and hope for favorable ITA scores once you get IELTS. Quite a few folks will age by a year during this wait and that will reduce their scores.

That was sarcasm for overthinking ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

After COPR only primary able to soft land

Lets assume that there would be a problem because of the 20 minutes soft landing. Now, do you have any other option?

I year in Canada, to move to EB1c bracket

Sorry, two wrongs don't make it right. No wonder US doesn't give a damn about fixing the backlog.

Most recommended PNP for 2020 (even OINP tech draw was too high)

Demand supply. Too many qualified folks in the pool as far as they are concerned. Given the crisis and local unemployment, don't expect this the score to go down.

Yes, PR via OINP for software. I think, it was 2173 or something like that.

I year in Canada, to move to EB1c bracket

Good luck. This priority date porting from EB3 is what caused this entire retrogression in EB2. Always prioritizing one's interests and have no empathy for folks already waiting in line.

Most recommended PNP for 2020 (even OINP tech draw was too high)

Yes finding a job in Canada being overseas is as difficult as finding a job in US (via H1) these days being overseas. Either your network can help or you will have to find a transfer from US branch to Canadian branch and go through a lengthy process of obtaining a PR. I tried applying for jobs...

I year in Canada, to move to EB1c bracket

AFAIK, EB2 priority dates can't be upgraded for EB1. So if everything works, you will be looking at EB1 priority date of May 2021 with a backdate around 2016 or something like that. FWIW, quite a few folks have already gone through this route in the last two years and they will add on to more delay.

Most recommended PNP for 2020 (even OINP tech draw was too high)

Well, there was a certain level of hypocrisy among some folks caught in that situation. Around 2017, they used to look down on a Canadian PR like it was something as easy as going to starbucks and getting one as needed. It was primarily looked down as a short term backup option. How soon have...

I year in Canada, to move to EB1c bracket

Assuming it works for you and you are eligible for EB1 a year from now, what is your best case estimate for a GC given current EB1 is at Aug 2015? 3years? 5 years?

Moving to Canada from USA with Approved I140

Not a time for all these shenanigans. EB1 dates too are backlogged for India. In these uncertain times, pick a clear and available option and go from there. Check other threads, 30+ year olds can't even get an invitation to apply for a PR.

You will have to check each province's web site to find eligibility for their programs. Atlantic immigration pilot might work for some as few folks prefer to settle over there. Studying is another option (depending upon how badly you want to settle in Canada long term)...
