Anyone seen the news about Priority Date until Jan 2015 becoming current for initial filing

Nope, priorities and plans change with time and living in Canada. For some healthcare in Canada is more lucrative, some might own business, some might have figured out being in US is not the only way to make it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Anyone seen the news about Priority Date until Jan 2015 becoming current for initial filing

The behavior folks are willing to tolerate often determines what they get in return. EAD without GC is just one of those. The very same FAANG and many more are letting people work remotely from Canada. So why would one pick a EAD over this? If claim is low pay, folks aren't negotiating well...

Good to know. I meant mostly dealing with private institutions, banks when dealing with debt for expansion etc.

Anyone seen the news about Priority Date until Jan 2015 becoming current for initial filing

It is never that simple, thanks to upgrades and downgrades shenanigans. Even the current euphoria about AOS based on Filing dates by EB2 downgrading could be rejected if there is an overwhelming EB3 demand. Not sure if fees are refunded in these case. Sadly, these folks have been so frustrated...

Anyone seen the news about Priority Date until Jan 2015 becoming current for initial filing

If it is working for you, go for it and renounce your PR. Quite a few are stuck with employers who wouldn't downgrade. Why will the bottom line driven ones just away give freedom to their employees for nothing in return? Not to mention, timing also matters. USCIS in a further visa bulletin...

Do I need a PCC from US?

I see your point but in that case, application for PR was already evaluated and approved in 2016. However, with citizenship application pending, it is a risk for candidates.

Do I need a PCC from US?

Because, things could have changed since the original landing. What if there was a new criminal record in that 16 months post PR?

Again, due to tax differences, it is not apples to apples anymore. It will not be the same as US salary.

Yeah, if iirc, CIC doesn't take academic IELTS even for PR and i had to give the general one.

Good to know, was wondering if one had to retake it because of that 2 years expiry.

Salary when moving from US to Canada on ICT

Depending on your actual salary, taxes too would reduce your take home pay. Higher the pay, more the taxes compared to California. Marginal tax can go as high as 45% or something like that. Sounds like you are a full time. How are rest of your benefits transferred? You might have to check on...

Setting up corporation for contract work in US

Sorry no idea. May be try contacting them and ask for advise? but at the end of the day, your potential employer needs to be fine with that. For instance, who is on the hook to pay for their services? Would that affect your pay etc? FWIF, given cross country relationalship, it is really strange...

Setting up corporation for contract work in US

CRA doesn't care as long as follow all laws and don't try to under cut on taxes like trying income-split, fake business expenses etc. Irrespective of full time or contractor, some one has to run your payroll and deduct CPP, taxes etc at source before you get paid. In case of contracting, the...

    self-quarantine question

Given some cases are asymptomatic, play safe and stay in house. Its just 14 days. There is really no reason (unless emergency) to step out risking public health.
