PPR - Visa needed for applicant, eTA for spouse

Hi there, I have personally dealt with two different visa offices (Singapore and Hong Kong) and realized that they do things differently. Singapore VO asked for all passports regardless of country of citizenship. HK VO asked only for ones required a visa to enter Canada. So the answer is it...

    Hong Kong Police Certificate

Hi Lecos, You're right about the rule. However, if you go to HK for a day or two to do it, the certificate is still technically issued after your visit because they don't really issue it immediately after you apply and it takes about a week. Also, CIC may not even ask you to update the info on...

    Hong Kong Police Certificate

Since it has been 10 days, you may call CIC to confirm whether they have received it two weeks or three from now. The officer on the phone was able to tell me about my CNCC. Then I got my PPR a couple of weeks after that. So don't worry, you will get yours soon as well. Good Luck.

    Hong Kong Police Certificate

You're welcome. I'm happy to help. The best case scenario is that the CNCC has already processed your application but you need to call them to confirm asap. For the extension, just explain your situation in the webform and you shouldn't have a problem.

    Racism in Canada

I have lived in Metro Vancouver for six years. From my experience, racism is almost like a crime and so people are very careful about what they do and say. Canadians, in general, do know how to respect each other really well. However, some individuals with issues (mentally ill, drug addict or...

This is interesting. Can you print the canadian or FBI fingerprint form and bring it to the police station? If not, just call the HKP and see what they can accept. Yes. You can get a bank draft payable in HKD from a Canadian bank. However, I recommend you get a friend or family to apply it on...
