CEC: CRIMINALITY & SECURITY CHECK TIMELINE

Interesting, it wasn't on my list of documents to prepare or include in my application. I had to send through a police check from the Australian Federal Police, maybe that replaced the requirement for the RCMP.

I was just called back! Scheduled for this Saturday, October 31st at DT Sinclair Centre in the morning. AOR Feb 14 | BIL Feb 26 | FSW Inland | North Vancouver V7L I am so incredibly relieved right now! I'm just hoping I get to Saturday without issue so this can all be done and finished.

CEC: CRIMINALITY & SECURITY CHECK TIMELINE

Do you receive a notification saying that you need to get RCMP fingerprint checks once biometrics are done and it gets to that stage? I'm applying under FSW and am wondering if there's anyway I can get the RCMP check prepared (or at least an appointment booked) in advance?

Hopefully you get the call sometime this week! My BIL was Feb 26 and I believe I'm under FSW too so I'd imagine it shouldn't be far away for you.

I missed a call yesterday afternoon at about 5pm from SC. The voicemail message mentioned that they'll call back today some time and they're working overtime to clear the back log, hence the Sunday call. AOR Feb 14 and V7L, North Van. I'll update when they do call back and I manage to get an...

    BOWP Tracker 2020

Not that I'm an expert on this, but I thought all temporary work permits can bridge it's just that you have to abide by the terms on your initial work permit (ie if it's closed and you can only work for your employer on your permit, the same conditions apply).

So far I don't think so, there's 4 or so of us on here but no news yet.

I feel like normally we only see people in GVA saying they have calls later in the day, when the EST time zones are done for the day. Looks like they are ramping up calling GVA which is great to see! The tracker is also showing proportionally way more BC people getting calls than before.

The tracker shows a few people from Abbotsford that received calls this week, looks like they are calling people there.

    Changing employers after COPR

Thanks for that information both of you! Getting ahead of myself a little but trying to plan my life out as I wait for my biometrics call.

    Changing employers after COPR

I'm curious about this too. The below link says the following: "Due to COVID-19, we have a new process to confirm permanent resident status. We don’t need a COPR for this new process if you are in Canada."...

Were appointments all booked up until then or is that just the first one you were able to make it to? Congrats on getting the call!

    Great Vancouver Area Biometrics Tracking

It's so inefficient especially considering people in Ontario who are getting the most calls are scheduling appointments for 2+ weeks time because they're so booked up when we're able to go the next day even. What you've just said is exactly what my friend who went last week described, empty as...

I have honestly thought about doing this and just walking in, saying I have an appointment and be like oh I got a call yesterday and they said *insert whatever time it is* at Sinclair Centre so here I am.

Ontario is clearly getting the highest number of calls, which makes sense as they have the highest number of applicants but it's disproportionate to the other provinces. All of the recent appointments scheduled for them (except for 1 or 2 outliers) are set for early November so they've clearly...

If they do that though, their metrics will just get worse in a couple months when those of us passed the 6 month time frame start getting ours completed. If anything it would make more sense for them to get through us faster now so they can blame the delay on COVID. It also doesn't make much...

I called the IRCC line (1-888-242-2100) and went through the steps to talk to an agent. It took a few tries to get through the automated questions and actually make it to an agent as they are very busy. Make sure you specifically ask for progress of eligibility and background checks etc as...

    Great Vancouver Area Biometrics Tracking

I had the same concerns. My profile only showed that I'd passed my medical and needed to give biometrics but I called this morning and they said I'd passed eligibility and it was just biometrics and criminality (assessed after biometrics given) that needed to be completed. I imagine yours is...
